ORIANA RAEO released a demo and then a self titled back in the late 2000s that were both heavy on the European flair and mid-western emo of the mid-late 1990s.

"The Divide of Consciousness" is my fucking jam. After a brief intro they get into the thick of it at 24 seconds in with a beautiful mixture of Mihai Edrisch and Funeral Diner inspired clean, groovin' screamo that gets an extra layer of guitar at the one-minute mark. The song is catapulted into slightly heavier Raein and Ken Burns territory after 1:26 and is over well too soon at 2:15. "Staring Into Nothing" is the longest track, clocking at 4:01, which takes its time building and weaving through some very pretty and serene Suis La Lune-esque screamo with vocals that aren't far off from Shawn Decker of Coma Regalia. At 3:06 the song reaches its climax and as Jesse Mowery put it, "Damn, that does sound like Funeral Diner. If you mashed the Raein and Funeral Diner split into one band it'd probably sound like this." "Questionable Remarks" starts real fast and chills out in ways that Sleeper Wave now does while "Know the Facts For Once" is a somber and casca
ding song with a killer web of dreamy yet poisonous strings that is the perfect closer.

The 2010 'Demos' I've just recently stumbled across, and holy fuck is this shit killer. The departure from amazing soft, melodic passages is not missed as the band embraced German screamo and US emo-violence in a gnarly concoction of Textbook Traitors and June Paik. "Think About It. Think Again" opens things up with what could probably be described as Kaospilot on Ritalin. "The Satisfaction Sought in Gratuity" has head bobbing bits starting at 1:16 right before pulverizing the listener again with dual screams not unlike new Letters To Catalonia and Celebration. "False Dilemma" lays heavy on the Cease Upon The Capitol love while "Wait...There's Something Off in the Distance" begins as the only slow paced song on the album and has an eerie quality to it, not unlike City Of Caterpillar or Swan Of Tuonela...which also means it's amazing.

Besides a few Texan folk praising their work, I've never seen them posted. So...there ya go.
