BUCKET FULL OF TEETH, a more apt band name they could not find. This is an aural assault, plain and simple. Will's best band, that's right - I said it. Orchid was amazing and extremely influential. Ampere is still very relevant and are awesome. Yet, both pale in comparison to the almighty BUCKET FULL OF TEETH and I would most certainly posit that this is by far the superior band.

It is mind-boggling to realize that I've never had a conversation with anyone about this band (2-sided conversation, at least) and I've never even seen a post about them, but I see/hear Will's other bands are discussed daily. It's not unreasonable to think they sound like Orchid or Ampere, because they definitely share some characteristics. But where Orchid and Ampere generally have a sound that one could pigeonhole rather easily, BUCKET FULL OF TEETH put dynamite in said pigeon's hole and blow it to kingdom come.

This is sonic destruction. You've got insane speed combined with chaos, beeping, mechanical audio blips and sound distortion. Whatever genre this ends up being borders on extreme noise with bits and pieces of so many experimental and extreme with a surprising amount headbobability. They use multiple vocalists who scream, yell and growl. There's buzzsaw/grind/powerviolence guitars and instrumentals only to jump ship numerous times in a single track. They punk the shit out of some songs, in old school hardcore fashion. Then they switch to dreamy rock, instrumental passages and Old Man Gloom-like noise tracks. There are even some spacey slow riffs, headbanging breakdowns and throwback 80s metal riffs. If I had to choose a few bands to liken to BUCKET FULL OF TEETH, I'd go with Rats Into Robots, Ampere and Jenny Piccolo with Combatwoundedveteran - not bad company to keep!

The band's 7" series could be laid next to each other to form a picture, which BUCKET FULL OF TEETH later released as a cd compilation totaling 34 mind-melting punches to the mouth. Act IV was released some years later and definitely showed the band at their peak, right before disbanding.

Seriously, get the fuck on this is, as it is superb.

My personal favourites:

Lost Keys (II)
Here's Your Warning (III)
